Cumberbatch Hints at Doctor Strange’s Role in MCU’s Future, No Appearance in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’

Even though it feels like an eternity since Benedict Cumberbatch last wore the Cloak of Levitation, as seen in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” which was released in May 2022, the actor has made it clear to fans that the Master of the Mystic Arts will continue to play a significant part in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A third movie is currently under discussion. Although he won’t be present in “Avengers: Doomsday,” he’ll serve as a key component in “Avengers: Secret Wars.” Furthermore, there are rumors of another solo adventure for the character.

They’re eager for conversations about where we should proceed next. For instance, “Who would you like to pen and direct the upcoming installment?” or “What aspects of the comic universe do you think would be intriguing for Strange’s continued development?” He’s a multi-dimensional character that offers a wealth of creative possibilities. He’s complex, paradoxical, tormented, yet gifted with extraordinary powers, making for exciting storylines to delve into.

Instead of focusing primarily on the plot hinted at the end of the previous movie taking center stage, Charlize Theron’s appearance as Clea suggests that incursions might become more prominent, potentially linked to the original Kang saga. However, with the introduction of Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr.), it’s possible that the Kang storyline may take a back seat. Additionally, there are whispers about a Midnight Sons team and a Strange: Academy series, which could potentially be developed as well.

I’m in for anything that has him get rid of that third eye.
