As a long-time fan of both Hunter Schafer and Dan Stevens, I am beyond excited to share that a new trailer for their upcoming horror movie has been released! sixteen-year-old Gretchen unwillingly bids farewell to her US household, joining her father who’s recently relocated with his new family to a German Alps resort, where they’re warmly welcomed by Mr. König, her father’s employer. However, an unsettling atmosphere surrounds them as Mr. König becomes unusually fascinated with Gretchen’s deaf-mute half-sister Alma. This idyllic retreat hides hidden mysteries: eerie sounds and gruesome hallucinations haunt Gretchen until she uncovers a startling truth about her family.

Cuckoo trailer 2 dials up the unease

Tilman Singer, a German filmmaker and writer, is behind the creation of “Cuckoo.” Previously, he delivered the mesmerizing “Luz,” a brief yet impactful tribute to 1980s European horror. The connections between the two works are quite evident.

As a movie enthusiast with a soft spot for intriguing casts, I am thrilled to share my excitement about the upcoming film featuring Hunter Schafer from “Euphoria,” Dan Stevens from “The Guest,” Jessica Henwick from “Glass Onion,” Martin Csokas from “The Equalizer,” Mila Lieu from “Dodger,” Greta Fernandez from “Elisa & Marcela,” and Astrid Berges-Frisbey from “I Origins.”

Neon’s Tom Quinn, Jeff Deutchman, Emily Thomas, and Ryan Friscia serve as the film’s executive producers. The producer roles are held by Markus Halberschmidt, Josh Rosenbaum, Maria Tsigka, Ken Kao, Thor Bradwell, and Ben Rimmer.

In 2024, it seems Neon will release another successful horror film to add to their collection. This year has already introduced two chilling productions: “Immaculate,” a religious horror led by Sydney Sweeney, and “Longlegs,” Oz Perkins’ satanic serial killer thriller, both hailing from the same studio.
