As a gamer who has seen my fair share of roster shuffles and upheavals, I must admit that the news about rigoN becoming a free agent and potentially joining another team is quite intriguing. Having followed his journey with BIG Clan since he joined back in June, it’s hard not to feel a bit sentimental.
As a devoted fan, I was taken aback to learn that BIG Clan plans to bid farewell to their player Rigon “rigoN” Gashi starting from the first day of January, following their successful qualification for a Major tournament after more than two years.
rigoN is set to become a Free Agent!
Back in June, the Swiss-Albanian marksman became a member of the German organization, a move that followed the benching of David “prosus” Hesse. Adjusting to a new setting had been a challenge for him, given his past experience as the primary sniper for Bad News Eagles.
At BIG, he found himself with limited workspace due to Karim “Krimbo” Moussa and Jon “JDC” De Castro assuming key roles on the T-side. Additionally, his sole responsibility in anchoring Bombsites was less than impressive.
As of January 1st, 2025, I’ll be moving on to new opportunities. This phase has been a rollercoaster ride of triumphs and trials that have significantly molded me both as an athlete and as an individual.
We’ve fought side by side through it all,…

Surprisingly, the decision to replace him on the bench right now seems unexpected, given that our team has significantly improved over the past six months.
Today, we bid farewell to our marksman, @rigoNcs. Thank you for the enthusiasm you infused within our team, helping us reach the top 16 at Shanghai. Wishing you tremendous success as you embark on your new journey!

It appears that Big once more faces the challenge of finding a new team member, given that no other team within the top 20 of the HLTV world rankings has experienced as many roster changes over the past 3 years.
Will kyuubii join the team?
As a gamer, I’ve heard through the gaming grapevine that the rumored new recruit could be none other than “kyuubii” Ali, formerly of Fnatic. If this turns out to be true, it would align well with maintaining a German-speaking squad and adding another promising young talent from Germany. However, I can’t help but wonder if kyuubii might encounter the same challenges in role definition and space that rigoN faced.
It’s yet to be determined whether this will actually prove accurate.
What do you think? Will kyuubii turn out the right fit, or will BIG sign someone else?
For now, BIG Clan is left with:
- Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz
- Karim “Krimbo” Moussa
- Florian “syrsoN” Rische
- Jon “JDC” De Castro
- Alexander “kakafu” Szymanczyk (Coach)
