As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I’ve seen plenty of twists and turns in the esports world. The latest move by BLEED, adding not one but two academy teams to their portfolio, is certainly a bold step. It’s almost like watching a game of CS:GO where someone suddenly decides to rush B site with four players instead of the usual one.
In just ten months since joining Counter-Strike, the organization based in Singapore has already cycled through nine different players on their team.
What is BLEED’s plan to improve its CS2 division?
It seems they’ve simultaneously expanded their portfolio by incorporating two academy teams, according to Russian insider solutionN00’s recent tweet.
He further explained, that one of those compositions is set to be consisting of strictly CIS players, i.e. Russian speaking, whilst the other one will be filled with players from Europe and therefore speak English.
As a passionate fan, it’s quite usual nowadays to see large E-sports organizations boasting an academy team. Yet, maintaining not just one but two teams, making it three in total under contract, is almost unheard of in the e-sports scene.
On a previous occasion, only once, there was an attempt made by Evil Geniuses, an American organization. They initiated this endeavor in the summer of 2022, but unfortunately, it didn’t succeed; instead, it ended up being a significant disappointment.
It’s worth mentioning that BLEED’s coach, Aleksandar “kassad” Trifunović, often spoke critically of EG regarding management errors while he worked as an ESL commentator.

Now he apparently becomes the man in charge of a similar project.
kassad jokingly even put a bounty on EG back then, hoping they would fail to qualify for the Major.
The team that eliminates EG from the RMR Closed qualifier will receive a $1,000 prize from me.

It’s yet uncertain if this event will truly occur or not, and if it does, we’ll have to wait and see how it impacts the current state of BLEED’s primary roster, which currently consists of only three athletes.
Nemanja “nexa” Isaković was left out of the starting lineup following the absence of BLEED from the Shanghai Major, whereas the AWPer Tim “nawwk” Jonasson was temporarily transferred to Team Fnatic.
By January 2024, EG has decided to discontinue their Computer Science (CS) project completely. Here’s hoping that BLEED experiences greater prosperity by following a similar strategy.
2024 marks the departure of Evil Geniuses from the realm of Counter-Strike. Over the last twenty years, we’ve been honored to create a lasting legacy in this game, with numerous trophies won and exceptional players representing our team. Last year, we had an outstanding team of players,…

What do you think of this move by BLEED? Will kassad prove everyone wrong and be successful?
