CS2: BLEED roster cuts ties with org after non-payments

As a long-time gamer and follower of the esports scene, I am absolutely flabbergasted by this turn of events with BLEED Esports. It’s disheartening to see an organization that had such potential just crumble under the weight of unpaid salaries and buyouts. The fact that they were on the cusp of assembling two academy rosters, only to find themselves in this situation, is truly mind-boggling.

According to a statement made by Aleksandar “kassad” Trifunović, coach for BLEED Esports’ CS:GO team, it has been revealed that the organization failed to make several required payments.

He tweeted out this statement, featuring the name of every remaining player on the team’s CS2 roster:

With no other options left, we are forced to do this.

Sad , but had to be done.

This recent turn of events comes as a surprise. Just a week after rumors spread that BLEED is planning to create two academy squads for their CS2 division, this news has emerged.

The org only entered CS2 last December, just falling short, recently, of qualifying for the Shanghai Major’s RMRs.

After the official announcement from BLEED, here’s my take on what they seem to owe their CS2 squad:

I’m still waiting on my $130k from Apeks since May 15th.

These totals encompass not just unpaid wages, but also buyout amounts for players who had previously signed with our team.

After Kassad’s post, Rainbow Six Siege player Taylor “Nerdsta” Ching from BLEED Esports declared that the organization allegedly owes him over $35,000 USD!

To begin with, I journeyed overseas last year to realize my dream of playing professional Rainbow Six (R6). Residing in a costly foreign land, and earning less than $700 USD monthly. Yet, our team at BLEED swiftly ascended to become the most triumphant roster across all esports, qualifying for numerous international events.

A little over a week ago, I found myself on the sidelines of the VCT circuit. It seems our BLEED Valorant team didn’t quite meet the compliment quota that was required for this prestigious tournament.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that the organization’s CEO, who has been absent from public view for some time, is set to appear in court next week.

UPDATE ON BLEED ESPORTS:

CEO of Bleed Esports, Goh En Wei Mervyn has a court hearing scheduled for October 21st

The nature of the case is listed as Criminal

This explains the sudden disappearance of Mervyn

Players stick together under new name: UNPAID

For now, the quartet consisting of Joakim “jkaem”, Cai “CYPHER”, Vladan “VLDN”, and Nemanja “nexa” will carry on playing as a team.

David “harn” Benchev will back them up as the fifth team member, along with Kassad acting as their coach. Currently, they play under the label “UNPAID“, a name that seems particularly suitable.

The upcoming event scheduled for this roster is set to kick off on a Wednesday at the Regional Champions 2024 in Belgrade.

CYPHER shared this hilarious tweet, following the team’s arrival in Belgrade:

hahaha @RelogMedia legends
