In this digital competition, we’ve innovated the conventional bracket setup by giving underdog teams the opportunity to choose their initial opponents in the first round.

In this distinctive setup, strategy takes center stage right from the beginning, before any map is played. Teams seeded 17th to 32nd are given the chance to carefully select their opening opponents. This allows them to either exploit perceived vulnerabilities or make daring moves against stronger teams. To make things even more intriguing, higher-ranked teams already had assigned bounties beforehand, compelling challengers to consider both the potential rewards and the risk of choosing a specific opponent.

Enter the all new Bounty selection process

17th seeded German team BIG chose to face off against Portuguese squad SAW, a decision based on identifying what they believe will be their most manageable opponent. Following suit, 18th seed Virtus Pro and subsequent teams set up matches that are expected to offer intense gameplay and a fair share of unexpected events.

Notable matchups in the confirmed lineup feature FaZe Clan, showcasing their revamped roster with North American star Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski, going head-to-head with M80. The latter team will be without Ethan “reck” Serrano, who can’t attend the bootcamp. Nils “k1to” Gruhne, previously of OG and BIG, will fill in for him, making M80 essentially a German dominated squad. On the other hand, spectators will eagerly watch the first showing of Nikola “NiKo” Kovač as he leads the restructured Falcons team against ENCE, adding an additional element of excitement to this competition.
