CS2: BIG Clan fall to FURIA, drop to 2-2 in Shanghai Major Opening Stage

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I’ve seen many highs and lows in the world of esports. Today, I found myself on the edge of my seat watching the nail-biting encounter between FURIA and BIG Clan at the Shanghai Major.

In a remarkable turnaround, the Brazilian team, skillfully guided by the esteemed Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, displayed tenacity and expertise. After a disappointing start on the initial map, they managed to recover impressively, ultimately securing a reverse sweep to clinch the victory. This triumph signifies FalleN’s first ever win against Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz, the leader of BIG, in eight long years – a significant achievement that carries personal significance for the seasoned captain.

BIG are one game away from elimination in Shanghai!

In the initial phases of their match during the opening stage of the Shanghai Major, the formidable BIG Clan, who had already swept through the European RMR B with a 3-0 win, seemed to outshine their opponents.

The series started on Nuke, a map chosen by FURIA, but it was the Germans who took control. An impressive display from Karim “Krimbo” Moussa, with 18 kills under his belt, powered BIG to a convincing 13-5 win.

FURIA appeared out of sync early on, but that changed on Mirage.

FURIA surged to an early 10-2 lead, yet, the Brazilians nearly fumbled their advantage as nerves began to creep in. BIG rallied late in the map, pushing it to a nail-biting conclusion, before FURIA ultimately closed it out, 13-11, forcing the decider.

As a gamer, I can now say that Dust2, once known as BIG’s fortress, turned into the stage for their downfall. FURIA played an outstanding game, tearing apart the German team with exceptional synergy and individual skills. The Brazilian team’s supremacy showcased their preparation and adaptability, leaving BIG puzzled in a crushing defeat.

Big Clan could only muster three rounds throughout the entire match.

They managed to shatter the spell, but the battle isn’t fully won! Rest your minds and prepare for a fresh start in tomorrow’s game. Thanks a million for the fantastic backing!
