One variation could be: Two newly popular meme coins are set to become available for trading at the renowned offshore cryptocurrency exchange, OKX, for those seeking spot transactions.
Starting from today, April 15, the company has announced in an official press release that it will enable trading for Dogwifhat (WIF) and Cat in a Dog’s World (MEW) on its exchange. The former will be available for trade at 9 AM UTC, while the latter will follow suit at 8 AM UTC. It is important to note that withdrawals for these Solana (SOL) based meme coins will only become accessible starting from April 16, 2024, at 10 AM UTC, which is 24 hours after their respective listings.
OKX Adopts a New Listing Approach
At the announced times, deposits for the two meme tokens are now open on OKX, with trading to start right away. These two tokens have been added to OKX’s extensive collection of over 350 digital assets.
Recently, The exchange broadened its selection of digital assets, indicating a modification in its token listing guidelines. Yet, no clear explanation was given for this shift.
WIF, also known as “Dogwifhat”, started trading on other exchanges a few months ago amidst growing interest in meme coins as investors look to make the most of the market resurgence which saw Bitcoin (BTC) hit a new all-time high of $73, 000 in March.
A quirky and playful digital token, represented by an image of a dog wearing a hat, experienced a significant rise of almost 30% after being listed on Binance around a month ago. This token, named WIF, entered the crypto market in December 2023 with a starting price of just $0.004. Reaching its all-time high on March 31, 2024, WIF peaked at an impressive price of $4.83.
Instead of WIF, MEW is a freshly introduced token that aims to rival meme coins focused on dogs by introducing a distinctive feline theme.
A memcoin is presently available on Huobi Global, formerly known as HTX, where it was recently added. The exchange made this announcement earlier in the month.
MEW Experiences over 97% Surge in 24 Hours
MEW’s unique traits and compelling story have attracted a lot of interest in the cryptocurrency world, pushing it into the top ten meme coins on CoinMarketCap as of April 2, 2024. On that day, the token held the sixth-largest position among all meme coins.

The price of MEW token jumped to $0.005558 on OKX exchange after being listed, representing a significant gain of approximately 97% compared to its previous trade value under $0.0047 within the last 24 hours.
The value of the coin’s total holdings in the market has risen to an impressive $497 million, while its trading volume over the past 24 hours reached $232 million.
While WIF has experienced a notable rise of more than 13% on CoinMarketCap, it is now priced at approximately $3.05.
