Cryptic DBD codes tease more exciting Resident Evil content is coming

As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for horror games and a deep affection for both Dead By Daylight (DBD) and Resident Evil, I can’t help but feel a rush of anticipation coursing through my veins! The prospect of more DBD x RE content has me on the edge of my seat.

Dead by Daylight has partnered with numerous renowned horror properties from both film and gaming industries. One of the standout collaborations for DBD is the two-chapter alliance with Resident Evil. These chapters introduced Wesker and Nemesis as antagonists, while Leon, Jill, Ada Wong, Rebecca Chambers were added as survivors. Although these chapters were fantastic, a reliable source within Dead by Daylight has hinted at more content from Resident Evil on the horizon.

For the DBD community, there’s plenty to look forward to before November ends. A leak hints at a sensational new collaboration skin set for unveiling tomorrow, while November 28th promises to be a momentous day due to BeHaviour’s confirmed livestream. Regrettably, 2v8 2.0 will conclude on November 26th, but the arrival of Chapter 34 is imminent, bringing in The Houndmaster and Taurie Cain, as announced by BeHaviour.

I can hardly contain my excitement as I eagerly await the arrival of Chapter 34! Not only does this new chapter hold promise for an incredible gaming experience, but BeHaviour has given us a tantalizing hint about what else Year 10 might bring. With the confirmation that FNAF is joining our game, I can’t help but wonder if we might also see more of the Dead By Daylight x Resident Evil crossover events in store for us!

Dead By Daylight leaker teases more Resident Evil content

Known as RuthlessLeaks, this individual is recognized for leaking information related to Dead By Daylight, often posting cryptic hints for players to decipher. Previously, they shared numerous datamined leaks about the now-cancelled Project T, and accurately leaked details about the Chapter 34 killer having a pet companion prior to BeHaviour’s official announcement.

On the 18th and 19th of November, they shared two puzzles (cryptograms) for solvers to unravel: “heavens above what see” and “just a thought, so far from true”.

In the thrilling world of DBDLeaks Discord, I stumbled upon an intriguing pair of codes – “Resident Evil” and “Resident Evil not soon”. What made this discovery particularly captivating was that both codes had the exact same number of letters. This hints at a potential Resident Evil-themed event or update, but it seems we might have to wait a bit longer for its arrival.

Sadly, there’s no additional information given beyond the fact that we can expect more of Resident Evil. It remains unclear whether Behavior Interactive is working on a new installment or if they will just be releasing additional skins and cosmetic items.

It’s equally uncertain about the timeline for the release of the new content. “Not soon” suggests that it might be quite a while from now, though it’s hard to say for certain whether it’s part of the plans for Year 10 or beyond.

Certainly more content from Resident Evil would undoubtedly be appreciated. The character Lady Dimitrescu has been eagerly anticipated by the Dead By Daylight community since the launch of Resident Evil Village. Additionally, there are numerous other iconic characters and skins that BeHaviour could potentially include.

It’s quite exciting to imagine if Capcom collaborates with BeHaviour, they could develop additional content related to RE9. As of now, there’s no confirmed information about Resident Evil 9, but fans are eagerly waiting for a potential revelation at The Game Awards scheduled on December 12th.

Of course, more DBD x RE content isn’t official as it’s merely a teaser from a leaker rather than anything confirmed by BeHaviour. In other exciting leaks, a Japanese killer has leaked for the licensed chapter in March, but it’s not The Grudge.
