As a seasoned gamer and avid fan of the Batman universe, I must confess that my heart skipped a beat upon learning about the potential team-up between Sofia (played brilliantly by Cristin Milioti) and Selina Kyle (Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman) in The Batman Part II.
Max’s show titled “The Penguin” has aired its final episode, wrapping up the journeys of all major characters in a satisfying manner. Notably, Colin Farrell delivered an outstanding performance as the main antagonist, but it was Cristin Milioti’s character Sofia who truly shone, thanks to her compelling storyline. Unfortunately, Sofia’s heart-wrenching end in “The Penguin” has left viewers with a sense of sorrow for her tragic demise. Yet, the finale hinted at a possible collaboration between Sofia and Zoe Kravitz’s Selina Kyle, which was recently discussed by Cristin Milioti. This hint suggests that these half-sisters might cross paths in “The Batman 2”.
The Penguin’s Sofia could crossover with Selina Kyle’s Catwoman in The Batman Part II
Miloti has shared that she eagerly anticipates reprising her role as the complex, troubled gangster in Matt Reeves’ Batman sequel. Moreover, she hinted at a potential reconciliation between Sofia and her screen sister Selina Kyle on the series, which could result in some thrilling developments within Gotham.
During an interview with The Direct, the actress from How I Met Your Mother shared her thoughts about potential roles in Reeves’ Batman universe. Discussing a possible return as Sofia in future DC productions, she also voiced her opinions on the possibility of a partnership between her character and Catwoman (Selina Kyle).
Mililoti shared, “I truly long to play that character again, as she has been a deeply cherished role for me. Among all the parts I’ve played, it ranks among my very favorites, and I find myself utterly captivated by her.
As a gamer, if Sofia and Selina Kyle teamed up, we’d unleash pure chaos! It’s hard to put into words… but imagine, we’d light the world on fire – figuratively speaking, of course. You get the picture? We’d have an absolute blast, tearing through obstacles and challenges together. That’s the vibe I’m getting from this dynamic duo!
Militi also proposed that should they team up, their roles might involve tackling villains such as the Penguin and even Batman.
Towards the end of The Penguin, Sofia, played by Milioti, finds herself back at Arkham Asylum and receives a puzzling letter. Not long after, it’s revealed that the sender of this missive is no one else but Selina Kyle.
The Batman Part 2 will hit theaters on October 2, 2026.
