In a recent conversation, Michael B. Jordan hinted at potential developments for a follow-up to “Creed” by expressing his desire for actor Jonathan Majors to reprise his role in the sequel.
What is Michael B. Jordan’s Creed 4 update?
As a devoted fan, I’d express my excitement by saying: In an engaging chat with The Hollywood Reporter, focusing on Michael B. Jordan (the powerhouse behind the Creed franchise, starring in every film and directing the latest installment), he shared his heartfelt desire to collaborate again for a fourth Creed movie. Jordan emphasized that, from his perspective, Michael B. Jordan has taken all the necessary steps legally to advance and progress in his career.
Jordan stated, ‘He was taken into custody, appeared in court, followed the required steps – I’m not aware of anything else.’ Jordan expresses his desire to collaborate with Creed IV, mentioning that he has seen Creed as a person who is consistently working towards self-improvement, both personally and professionally. Jordan has faith in him.
As Major’s upcoming film, titled Magazine Dreams, is due for release on March 21, 2025, there have been various discussions about the movie. Initially, it was speculated to be a potential award contender in 2023. However, after Major’s arrest and subsequent legal complications, the film was taken off its initial release calendar.
In the year 2023, Majors was found guilty of three charges: third-degree assault and second-degree harassment. These accusations originated from an event in the same year when Majors is said to have struck his girlfriend Grace Jabbari on her face with a closed fist, inflicting significant pain and causing a cut behind her ear. Furthermore, it’s alleged that he also grabbed her hand and neck, resulting in bruising and severe discomfort.
Consequently, Majors received a sentence that required him to attend a 52-week domestic violence intervention program and be placed on probation.
Despite Majors expressing his intentions towards growth and change after legal troubles, not all individuals are convinced. Maura Hooper, an ex-partner of Majors who provided a pretrial statement during the case against Jabbari and claimed emotional abuse by Majors, shared with The Hollywood Reporter that she finds it difficult to envision a route to redemption for Majors.
In response, Hooper expressed indifference towards the upcoming release of his movie. He questioned what benefits are provided at the conclusion of a 52-week domestic violence course and wondered if victims receive counseling to help them process their experiences. Given this, he stated that he doubts any redemption is taking place in this situation.
