CrankGameplays Banned From Twitch After Wikipedia Speedrun Slip-Up

As a longtime fan of CrankGameplays, I’ve witnessed his entertaining antics unfold over the past decade. The recent Twitch ban during a subathon was quite a shock, especially given the playful nature of the event. However, it seems that even the slightest misstep can lead to an instant ban on streaming platforms.

For more than ten years, YouTube star CrankGameplays has provided us with endless entertainment. Lately, during a marathon streaming session on Twitch, an unforeseen hurdle arose. In the midst of a fun “speed read” through Wikipedia, he was unexpectedly blocked from the site.

CrankGameplays Banned On Twitch

It’s generally thought that Twitch imposed a ban on him because he unintentionally displayed adult content during his browsing. Many live streamers understand that such unintentional lapses, however fleeting and quickly rectified, can result in an immediate ban, locking the account for several days.

It was revealed on X, by @streamerbans, and Ethans only reply was: “Whoops.”

whoops.

As a long-time Twitch user and observer of internet culture, I find it intriguing to see how the platform has handled recent events involving one particular streamer. From my perspective, the humor in this situation lies in the fact that despite his apparent slip-up, Twitch did not immediately ban him. The community’s speculation about the reason behind his continued presence on the platform adds another layer of intrigue to the story.

Check this out, the comments are amazing:
