A fresh piece of information from behind the scenes has emerged about WWE commentator Corey Graves following his recent expression of discontent. Just a few days back, Corey Graves voiced his dissatisfaction over modifications in his WWE commentating position.
WWE reorganized its commentary crews for RAW, SmackDown, and NXT before the debut of Netflix’s series. Previously assigned to RAW, Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett are now part of the SmackDown team instead.
* Pat McAfee rejoined Michael Cole for the WWE RAW commentary crew, with Vic Joseph and Booker T working alongside Corey Graves for WWE NXT. Previously a member of SmackDown, Corey Graves is now part of the NXT team.
In reaction to these alterations, Graves aired his annoyance on the platform that was once Twitter. He voiced his discontent about being informed that his fame level was insufficient to retain his position.
Corey Graves deleted those tweets.
Yeah, it was a shoot.

After the original post, it became clear that Graves was no longer part of the show, as he was seen departing from Orlando. Additionally, fans picked up on the fact that he had taken down his earlier statement regarding the matter. More recent speculation indicates that Graves might be intentionally trying to get dismissed due to his latest behavior.
On the Wrestling Observer Radio podcast, wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer talked about Corey Graves’ predicament. According to Meltzer, around two weeks back, Graves found out that Wade Barrett would take over from him as part of the commentary team on SmackDown, and this didn’t sit well with Graves.
The individual pondered over Graves’ decision to air his grievances on X (previously Twitter), pointing out that certain individuals within WWE suspect Graves might have been attempting to get dismissed. He commented, “Some folks there believe he was trying to get fired, and if that’s the case, they probably won’t let him go because I don’t think they want him joining AEW in case they grant him a release. They could also impose a suspension, which they might have already done without announcing it.
Corey Graves appeared genuinely upset, but I can’t explain his actions on Twitter. Some people speculate that he intentionally tried to get fired, but if that were the case, it’s unlikely he would keep his job.

Although it’s undetermined if Graves was either suspended or terminated by WWE due to his recent incident, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray and ex-WWE commentator Jonathan Coachman have recently shared their guidance for Graves in handling this particular situation.
