As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for staying updated on all things Hollywood, this news about Cooper Hoffman joining Olivia Wilde in “I Want Your Sex” has me intrigued! The young actor is making quite a name for himself, reminiscent of his father’s legacy, yet carving out his own path. I can’t help but wonder if the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, especially with Gregg Araki, known for his provocative films, at the helm.
Cooper Hoffman has secured a role in the upcoming, daring thriller film titled “I Want Your Love“, which will also feature Olivia Wilde.
In 2021, Cooper Hoffman, the son of the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, made his acting debut with Paul Thomas Anderson’s film “Licorice Pizza.” Since then, he has appeared in Ethan Hawke’s movie “Wildcat” and will be featured in Simon West’s “Old Guy” and Jason Reitman’s “Saturday Night,” both due for release later this year. Also, Cooper Hoffman has been cast in Francis Lawrence’s upcoming film “The Long Walk,” an adaptation of the Stephen King novel with the same title.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m excited to share that I just learned that the talented actor Hoffman will be teaming up with Wilde in the upcoming production of “I Want Your Sex.” Filming for this project is set to kick off in the vibrant city of Los Angeles this October! Can’t wait to see these two stars in action!
What else do we know about I Want Your Sex?
“In the plot for the movie, Elliot (Hoffman), a fresh newcomer, gets an enticing job with the famous artist, Erika Tracy (Wilde). His dreams come true when she chooses him as her sexual muse. However, things get complicated as Elliot is swept into a deeper experience than he anticipated, exploring themes of sex, obsession, power, deception, and even murder. The film is filled with eccentric characters and has a witty, humorous tone that will challenge your assumptions in a way that’s both surprising and enjoyable!”
This film was created under the guidance of director Gregg Araki, who has previously produced works such as The Doom Generation (1995), Nowhere (1997), Splendor (1999), Smiley Face (2007), among others.
Araki collaborated on the script with Karley Sciortino. Together with Sciortino, Seth Caplan, Teddy Schwarzman, and Michael Heimler, he also co-produced the film. John Friedberg, Joanne Roberts Wiles, and Courtney L. Cunniff are the executive producers.
Black Bear has not yet announced an official release date for I Want Your Sex.
