The connections in today’s New York Times puzzle proved challenging since various words could be combined in different manners. However, we tackled the Blue Category first because it appeared clear to us that the four words should be classified under the same group.
Following that incident, matters became more challenging. We mistakenly grouped BORING, SLEEPING, and TALKING together, finding it difficult to identify a fourth term. Eventually, we opted for DREAMING. However, this didn’t fit the pattern, so we swapped out BORING with DROOLING. At that moment, we recognized that the missing word was indeed DREAMING. After making this change, the remaining categories seemed to resolve themselves naturally.
