Coming this August, the multiplayer shooter game “Concord,” developed by Firewalk Studios under PlayStation Studios’ live-service umbrella, is poised to launch. This game promises an engaging ecosystem for first-person shooting experiences. Since it’s a live-service game, expect updates from both Firewalk and Sony after the initial release. They’ve shared their post-launch plans in detail, revealing the season structure and release schedule extending up to April 2025.
As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I am thrilled about Concord’s content roadmap that was recently unveiled on PlayStation Blog this week. Having followed the game since its inception, I can confidently say that Firewalk and Sony have consistently delivered top-notch content, and this roadmap only cements their commitment to the gaming community.
When Concord launches on August 23rd, it’s expected to offer a solid assortment of content. Compared to other games, it’s been likened to a fusion of “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Overwatch.” In this game, there will be 16 playable characters known as Freegunners, each with 8 unique variations. Additionally, there are 6 game modes and 8 distinct maps for players to engage in battles on. Based on what’s been shown so far, the gameplay seems promising ahead of Concord’s release date.
