Concerning Update on Mercedes Mone Ahead of AEW Dynamite

There’s a significant development to share about Mercedes Mone following her TBS Championship match at AEW Revolution 2025 before Dynamite. At the event, Mone, who boasts four titles in her possession currently, defended her TBS belt against Momo Watanabe.

At present, she is the titleholder for the AEW TBS Championship, the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship, the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship, and the Southside Wrestling Entertainment Women’s Championship, having successfully united them all.

Over the weekend, Mone retained her championship by beating Momo Watanabe in a match at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. However, according to reports, neither Mone nor Watanabe performed flawlessly after their contest.

Reports indicate Mercedes Mone is ‘messed up’ after AEW Revolution 2025

On Wrestling Observer Radio after AEW Revolution 2025, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez shared news about Mercedes Mone and Momo Watanabe. They mentioned that several wrestlers got hurt during the show, including these two ladies.

According to Alvarez, from what he understands, no one is critically injured, but many are bruised or wounded. Regarding the seriousness of the situation, he’s unsure. However, Meltzer gave an update focusing on Mercedes Mone and Momo Watanabe, confirming that both have been affected.

Meltzer explained, “Mercedes made a mistake. Momo also had her slip-up. Momo hobbled off using crutches, and it seems she may have injured her ankle somewhere. It wasn’t about kicking her in the face… although Momo did kick Mercedes right there, but to be clear, I believe it was more likely her neck because what I understood was that Mercedes had a bruised larynx. However, Mercedes seemed fine backstage, so perhaps it’s just something to keep an eye on.” [Source: wrestlingnews]
