The movie titled “Compulsion” is a thriller, helmed by director Neil Marshall, who previously directed the 2005 film “The Descent”. This upcoming production features Charlotte Kirk (from Ocean’s 8), Anna-Maria Sieklucka (known for 365 Days), and Zach McGowan (Dracula Untold) among its star-studded cast.

What happens in the Compulsion trailer?
The trailer for “Compulsion” predominantly focuses on the characters portrayed by Kirk and Sieklucka, who find themselves on the Mediterranean island of Malta. While an intriguing romantic dynamic seems to blossom between them, a chilling series of murders takes place, leaving it unclear whether they could be suspects or victims.

For the fourth time in a row, Kirk has teamed up with Marshall on this project, following their past collaborations in 2020’s The Reckoning, 2022’s The Lair, and 2024’s Duchess. In Compulsion, Kirk and Marshall share writing credits for the screenplay, while Krystyna Sellnerova takes on a production role within the film.
Apart from the mentioned movies, Neil Marshall has also produced Dog Soldiers (2002), Doomsday (2008), Centurion (2010), and Hellboy (2019). He penned the script for Killing Time (1998) and directed a segment in the Tales of Halloween anthology film from 2015. In television, he has directed episodes on Game of Thrones, Black Sails, Hannibal, Westworld, and various other shows.
The film titled “Compulsion” is set to debut in the U.S. in September 2025, distributed by Saban Films. Before that, it will have its world premiere on June 28, 2025, at the Mediterranea Film Festival in Malta. Notably, Kirk and Sieklucka will grace the event as special guests. After the screening, there will be a Q&A session where questions are welcome.
