Comedy Khiladigalu’s Rakesh Poojary’s last dance video on Aaj Ki Raat goes viral; Rishab Shetty pens emotional note

On May 11, 2025, at the tender age of 33, Rakesh Poojary – best known for his role in Comedy Khiladigalu – tragically passed away. The unfortunate event occurred during a visit to Karkala, Karnataka, where he attended a pre-wedding ceremony. Heartbreakingly, he suffered a fatal heart attack later on. A video of his last dance has been circulating on Twitter, causing great sadness among his fans.

At his friend’s pre-wedding event, Rakesh Poojary found himself in the center, invited to dance to the popular tune, Aaj Ki Raat, thus adding to the joyful ambiance. Over the microphone, they called out his name, and later on, people came to watch him perform his dance steps.

Following an evening of vigorous dancing, the individual unexpectedly fell to the floor approximately 2 AM, appearing unresponsive. Instantly, medical personnel were summoned and transported him to the hospital. Regrettably, no treatments were effective in reviving him, and he was eventually pronounced deceased.

Upon hearing about his passing, Rishab Shetty posted a heartfelt message on his Twitter account, expressing, “You will always be a remarkable artist in my memory. The character you played in Kantara and the joy on your face as you portrayed it will remain etched in my mind forever. This is an irreplaceable loss to the artistic world… May you be reborn again, my friend… May your soul find peace. I hope God gives your family the fortitude to endure this shock.

Concerning Rakesh’s rise to stardom, he stood out among viewers for his exceptional performances and stylish demeanor during Kannada reality show Comedy Khiladigalu Season 2, where his team placed third. However, in Season 3, he managed to secure the top prize and attracted a huge fan base.

His sudden death has left us heartbroken and will always be remembered by his fans!
