Colman Domingo recently discussed the speculations that he may take over the role of Kang the Conqueror from Jonathan Majors within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

What did Colman Domingo say about the Kang the Conqueror rumors?

For quite a while now, there’s been lots of speculation about whether character Domingo will show up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) at some point. However, interest really started to escalate when Jonathan Majors had to step down from his role as Kang due to legal complications.

During a chat on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Domingo (who portrays Norman Osborn in the Disney+ show “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man”) admitted he discussed projects with Marvel, but his preference is to work on something unique rather than stepping into someone else’s shoes.

Domingo mentioned that there were discussions about him joining Marvel, so he did meet with the top executives at Marvel for a face-to-face conversation. During this meeting, we discussed various aspects of Marvel’s current situation, including the Kang rumors.

“I have a personal connection with this, and I’m all about maintaining positive energy and doing meaningful tasks that emit a soft, harmonious vibe. I desire a role that fits me, regardless of what it is. Whatever I work on doesn’t seem right to me… I yearn to create something from scratch, something uniquely mine. [Kang] was never part of my thoughts. If discussions about me took place, I was unaware… there are still ongoing conversations.

It’s uncertain at this moment who will take on the role of Kang the Conqueror in future projects, as there are whispers that Major might reprise his character at a later date. Nevertheless, it appears that Marvel Studios is gearing up to introduce fresh antagonists instead.
