As a die-hard fan of the illustrious Surya, I must say that his wisdom and humility never cease to amaze me. Attending the audio launch event for Meiyazhagan was nothing short of a spiritual experience. Surya’s fervent plea to focus on the stories and characters rather than box office numbers resonated deeply within my soul, much like his power-packed performances do on the silver screen.

Karthi, Suriya’s sibling, is gearing up for the premiere of his upcoming movie titled Meiyazhagan. Aravind Swamy serves as the film’s leading man. Lately, the audio launch for Meiyazhagan transpired in Coimbatore, with Suriya gracing the occasion. At this gathering, Suriya, renowned from Jai Bhim, spoke to the attendees and expressed his concern that box office success has surpassed the importance of storytelling as an art form.

Suriya requested his fans at the event to watch movies for their stories and characters. He urged them to not fixate on box office figures as it is not a matter of concern. “Watch movies, and celebrate them for the stories & characters and stay away from worrying too much & fighting with others about the Box Office numbers. Collections of movies shouldn’t be your concern at all,” said Suriya.

Previously, during an interview, Karthi disclosed that his brother Suriya expressed admiration for him following the viewing of Meiyazhagan and embraced him affectionately. He mentioned that this was a reaction he hadn’t experienced since his acting debut in Paruthiveeran. Karthi explained, “After seeing this movie, he approached me while I was eating, and without any warning, gave me a hug. I believe such heartfelt responses are rare for me, especially after my debut role in Paruthiveeran. It’s truly unique.

As a devoted admirer, I too recall Karthi sharing anecdotes about Suriya’s dedication. He spoke of how Suriya frequently dropped by the set to scrutinize his own work, which was truly inspiring. In a playful manner, he jested that whenever Suriya 44 was around, there’d be a stir on set as his presence drew quite a crowd.

On September 27, Meiyazhagan promises a heartwarming story, but it’ll face off against the highly anticipated film starring Jr NTR, Devara: Part 1 in theaters. Fans are eagerly awaiting this box office confrontation as the buzz surrounding Devara is significantly greater than that of Meiyazhagan.

Despite rumors to the contrary, the movie titled “Meiyazhagan” with Karthi and Arvind Swamy in leading roles is directed by Prem Kumar. This upcoming production is categorized as a family-oriented drama. Furthermore, Sri Divya plays an important character in the film.
