What is Armed about?
As a seasoned gamer, I’d rephrase it like this: “A band of battle-hardened marines swipe an arsenal from the military, but little do they know they’ve activated an old Cold War robot designed for destruction. This relentless mechanical predator is hot on our trail, intent on fulfilling its mission – and there’s nothing that can stand in its way.
In this screenplay, it is Terry Mcdonald who takes credit for the writing. The talented actors such as Tucci (from ‘Death Hunt’), Amsbury (‘American Gods’), Mason Cromwell (‘Switched at Death’), and Greg Johnston are also part of the cast.
Keith Leopard, head of Uncork’d Entertainment, expressed in a statement, “Armed offers an exhilarating journey throughout, making it a nail-biting paramilitary heist tale. We can’t wait to share this energetic film with viewers who enjoy unique blends of sci-fi and action.
Johnston, who heads Rapid City Entertainment, expressed his excitement about their upcoming collaboration with Uncork’d Entertainment. They will be jointly releasing ‘Armed,’ a gripping Action-Sci-Fi Thriller, worldwide. Notably, the film’s original soundtrack is said to match its pulse-pounding intensity.
In the year 2012, Mackay stepped into the director’s chair for his first full-length film, Battleground. Afterward, he released Sixty Minutes to Midnight in 2017, a screenplay penned by McDonald, and most recently, Death Hunt in the year 2022.
Besides starring in Death Hunt, Tucci has appeared on episodes of Amazon Prime Video’s Reacher and Eli Roth Presents: A Haunting Reality (which could be a more engaging title), as well as other projects. Recently, he played the role of Sheriff Handley in the television film My Mother Took Over My Life.
On March 4, 2025, the film “Armed” is set for digital and on-demand release, courtesy of Uncork’d Entertainment.
