Colbie Young was apprehended for allegedly inflicting battery and assault on an unborn baby. According to police records, he was detained by the Athens-Clarke County Police around 4:18 PM, due to a misdemeanor charge.
As I share this story from my perspective, I was involved in an unfortunate incident with a 20-year-old lady, who claimed to be my former girlfriend. We had a discussion at my apartment concerning our past relationship, as she chose to visit me for that purpose.
Subsequently, the discussion became tense when she discovered he was talking on the phone with another woman. She added that he forcefully removed her from his room, grabbed her from behind, lifted her off the ground, and squeezed her stomach and abdomen tightly. The young man in question was reported to be 20 years old.
Afterward, the officers noticed bruises, discolored areas, and red marks on the woman’s body that matched her accounts. Yet, Young rejected the allegations. Additionally, Young’s lawyer, Kim Stephens, asserted that her client had not inflicted any injury upon the woman.
Stephen clarified, “Colbie Young was taken into custody last night following his request for his former girlfriend to depart from his apartment. However, it’s important to note that he did not engage in any physical behavior that could potentially be classified as a criminal act. I am confident that once our investigation concludes and the facts are brought to light, Mr. Young will be cleared of all charges.
Kirby Smart, Georgia Bulldogs’ coach, chose not to discuss the ongoing legal issue, describing it as a “pending court case.” Additionally, he mentioned that he has not had any conversation with Young thus far. In the afternoon, Young was granted release on a $3,800 bond.
