COD Mobile AR Tier List Season 1 (2025): All Assault Rifles Ranked From Best To Worst

2025’s first installment of COD: Mobile, formerly known as ‘Wings of Vengeance,’ has officially arrived! In this release, you’ll notice some substantial adjustments to the game’s weapon balance, which are intended to alter the dominant strategies we witnessed during the previous season.

This latest update introduces several new elements: the AR XM4, a fresh Control Field Operator Skill, weapons hidden in Secret Caches that you can earn, a thrilling multiplayer mode called Chase, an enticing Challenge Pass offering generous rewards, and more exciting features. Additionally, there are significant weapon balance adjustments for both Multiplayer (MP) and Battle Royale (BR) game modes.

When it comes to figuring out which weapons are worth using in COD: Mobile Season 1 (2025), our Assault Rifle Tier List can help! We’ve analyzed every AR in the game to help you decide which one is top-notch and which ones might be better left unused.

COD: Mobile Assault Rifle Tier List

In this game, assault rifles are the preferred choice among players due to their versatility. Equipped with a multitude of accessories, these weapons can be customized to perform exceptionally well in close quarters battles as well as long-distance firefights.

Currently, in Call of Duty: Mobile, as we move into Season 1 (2025), a total of 32 assault rifles are available. The latest addition is the XM4, which made its debut in the ‘Wings of Vengeance’ season, marking its first appearance in COD: Mobile.

As a dedicated gamer, I’ll be sharing my personal tier list ranking the assault rifles, starting with the top-tier S weapons (my favorites), followed by A, B, C, and finally D (the ones I avoid). Here’s why each gun landed in its respective category:

S Tier: These are the game changers. Their high damage output, accuracy, and versatility make them essential for any battle. Examples include the AK-47 or M16A4.

A Tier: While not quite as powerful as S tier guns, these assault rifles still pack a punch. They may have slightly lower damage compared to their counterparts but compensate with other beneficial traits like faster reload speed or better mobility. The SCAR-L and M4A1 are examples of A tier weapons.

B Tier: These assault rifles can be reliable in the right hands, but they’re not as consistent as those in higher tiers. They might have decent damage output, but their fire rate or accuracy leaves something to be desired. The FN FAL and M16A2 fall into this category.

C Tier: These weapons are often outclassed by other assault rifles in most situations. While they can still do the job, you’ll need to put more effort into mastering them to excel. Examples include the AUG A3 or M14 EBR.

D Tier: Unfortunately, these weapons simply don’t cut it in a fight. Their low damage output, poor accuracy, and slow fire rate make them a last resort option when ammo for better guns runs low. The AN-94 and G36C are examples of D tier assault rifles.

S-Tier

  • XM4 (new)
  • Type 19
  • ASM10
  • AK-47
  • AS VAL
  • M13
  • Kilo 141
  • Krig 6
  • MK2 Peacekeeper
  • Groza

Additionally, it’s worth noting that the Groza is an exceptional Automatic Rifle and ranks among the top choices within the game. Consequently, we have categorized it as S-tier.

In the updated version of Call of Duty: Mobile, both the ASM10 and AK-47 have received enhancements, making them even stronger than before. Consequently, these two outstanding assault rifles have risen in popularity this season, securing their place at the top tier (S-tier).

At the beginning of Season 11, we categorized the Krig 6 as an A-tier weapon. However, after getting a good feel for the new assault rifle in practice, it’s evident that it holds its own against top-tier weapons. Exceptionally accurate with minimal recoil and significant damage per shot, it’s a fearsome weapon that can take on enemies at close, medium, and long distances. We’re big fans!

Keeping their spots in the S-tier are the M13 and Kilo 141.

These two firearms are renowned for their positions at the pinnacle of the assault rifle class, and rightfully so. They deliver a significant amount of damage, maintain minimal recoil, and arguably, their greatest asset is their versatility, boasting a wide variety of attachments that allow for customization.

Your decision between these two primarily hinges on your preferred gaming approach. If you enjoy maintaining some distance in your encounters, then the Kilo 141 would be more suitable for you.

The M13 stands out due to its incredible user-friendliness. Nearly devoid of kickback, this assault rifle is perfect for individuals unfamiliar with terms like ‘recoil pattern’.

The MK2 Peacekeeper, once again, graces the S-tier. Now, it boasts an enhanced damage range, suitable for both close and medium combat distances.

A-Tier

  • LAG 53 (new)
  • BP50
  • FFAR 1
  • Maddox
  • CR-56 AMAX
  • HVK 30
  • AK117
  • DR-H
  • Type 25
  • Oden
  • Grau 5.56

In the upper echelon of weapons, the AK-47, a more recent addition, has demonstrated exceptional performance as an assault rifle. Particularly noteworthy is its improved recoil control and faster sprint-to-fire speed, which were optimized during the weapon balance adjustments in Season 10.

Additionally, maintaining its spot among the top-tier weapons is the CR-56 AMAX. Its accuracy on aim down sights (ADS) has been improved by reducing the spread, making it a reliable choice for assault rifle usage.

In past seasons, the AS VAL has been an excellent assault rifle to utilize in Call of Duty: Mobile. Whether it will rise to the top S-tier is yet to be seen, but as of now, it doesn’t have enough evidence to definitively claim that spot, so it remains where it is for now.

There are numerous other excellent choices within the A-tier that don’t quite reach the number one position due to minor flaws. But, when equipped with suitable add-ons, many of these can excel and deliver exceptional performance levels.

B-Tier

  • LK24
  • ICR-1
  • Man-O-War
  • KN-44
  • Swordfish
  • HBRa3

These are the average-performing firearms within the game, a category that has expanded since developers aimed to ensure a wide range of weapons from the game’s armory are attractive options for players.

There are a few in here that were buffed in previous seasons, namely the ICR-1 and LK24.

The initial damage range, chest boost, and headshot amplification of the ICR-1 have been significantly enhanced. This popular weapon becomes an excellent choice, especially when paired with suitable add-ons.

It remains unclear at this point whether it belongs in the top tier (A) or even the exceptional top tier (S), but it definitely shows promise for reaching such levels.

Other notable guns here are the KN-44 and Man-O-War.

C-Tier

  • M4
  • BK57
  • FR .556
  • EM2

The .556 FR has received an update that improves its mobility, however, this adjustment may not be sufficient to transform it into a highly efficient weapon. Consequently, it continues to be categorized as a C-tier weapon for now.

The M4 will be as popular as ever but is still not meta.

The BK57 might be considered slightly more powerful, with decent damage output and a rapid firing speed. However, other similarly equipped weapons tend to limit its effectiveness.

The latest assault rifle in the game, referred to as the EM2, finds itself in the C-tier. This fully automatic bullpup weapon doesn’t boast a fire rate that can challenge some of the top guns in its category, making it an appealing choice only for collectors who are on a mission to gather all the weapons.

D-Tier

  • M16

In simpler terms, the least effective assault rifle within the game has been enhanced. It now comes with a unique upgrade, altering its shooting mechanism from burst fire to continuous automatic fire.

The addition significantly enhances the M16 weapon, yet it’s still insufficient to promote it from the D tier. Regrettably, the M16 did not receive any upgrades in the Season 7 patch. Therefore, I would advise against using it.
