CM Punk, a previous WWE champion, has frequently popped up in WWE’s training ground, NXT, since his comeback to WWE in November 2023. On a regular basis, he’s been seen at NXT and the WWE Training Facility.

As Roxanne Perez, I recently stood tall at Stand & Deliver, where I bested Lyra Valkyria to clutch the WWE NXT Women’s title once more, making me the youngest two-time champion in this division. Since hoisting the championship, I’ve faced and triumphed over the likes of Lyra Valkyria, Tatum Paxley, Jordynne Grace, Lola Vice, and many others. Right now, I’m shining brightly among the top-tier talent on the black and gold brand.

More recently, Perez had a conversation with Stephanie Chase where they discussed her admiration towards the former WWE Champion CM Punk. Growing up, she admired him and aimed to mirror his success. She acknowledged his kindness and dedication, emphasizing that he has been not only helpful but also motivating to the NXT roster.

She expressed, “Growing up, I admired him and aspired to follow in his footsteps. Now, being under his tutelage is a dream come true; he’s simply amazing. It seems like he doesn’t need to put in the effort he does, but he consistently attends NXT pay-per-views. He was even at the Las Vegas Battleground just to observe our matches. It’s really impressive that he goes out of his way to assist us and offer critiques or advice whenever we need it.”

In June, right after defending her title against Jordynne Grace during WWE NXT Battleground, Perez was giving a backstage interview when CM Punk unexpectedly interjected. As they interacted, Perez accused Punk of being hypocritical for trying to give her advice.
