As a seasoned gamer who has navigated through countless battles and rivalries in virtual worlds, I must admit that the ongoing saga between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre feels eerily reminiscent of my epic clashes in the MMO realm. The unpredictability, the drama, the relentless pursuit for supremacy – it’s all too familiar.
At WWE Bad Blood, it’s been announced that CM Punk will square off against the previous WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Drew McIntyre. Contrary to earlier assumptions, their feud, which appeared to have ended after Punk beat McIntyre in a Strap Match at WWE Bash in Berlin, is still very much alive.
Last week, CM Punk announced that he was moving on from Drew McIntyre after their match. But McIntyre, who had a major loss, made it clear that he wasn’t finished yet. Although Punk seemed to be preparing to challenge the current World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, McIntyre retaliated with a fierce attack, suggesting he wasn’t done with Punk. In fact, Punk broke a fan-made bracelet and forced the shards into McIntyre’s mouth.
In the recent RAW episode held in Calgary, I wasn’t there because of the vicious attack last week that left me out. The show unfolded with Drew McIntyre going head-to-head with his buddy, WWE commentator Wade Barrett. He accused Barrett for thwarting him during the beating on Punk. Things escalated when WWE RAW GM Adam Pearce stepped in to prevent McIntyre from laying hands on Barrett. Later on, Pearce announced that there will be a third bout between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk at WWE Bad Blood 2024.
CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre will settle the score inside Hell in a Cell
Previously crowned WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Drew McIntyre, focused on commentator Wade Barrett and reproached him for meddling with his confrontations against CM Punk. The tension between them escalated swiftly, creating a heated atmosphere right by the commentary desk.
Adam Pearce, the WWE RAW General Manager, stepped in to cool things between McIntyre and Barrett. Later on, he declared that there will be a third confrontation between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk, this time enclosed within the Hell in a Cell structure at WWE Bad Blood.

McIntyre appeared worried after the declaration, considering his past struggles with the Hell in a Cell bouts. Consequently, Punk and McIntyre’s feud will reach its climax at WWE Bad Blood, set to take place on October 5 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
