Nestled in the heart of bustling Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, lies Cloud House – an innovative co-living space conceptualized by ROOM+ Design & Build. What initially captures your attention about this establishment is its unique architectural design. Surrounding it are townhouses that differ in height and size. This architectural masterpiece stands out as a creative and practical solution to the escalating cost of urban housing.

To enhance the environmental efficiency of the structure, the architecture features numerous circular openings and cloud-shaped designs on its facades and roof, reflecting its name. These components promote natural air circulation throughout the building, ensuring abundant sunlight in the living areas by day.

The structure’s concept revolves around three main approaches: loft-style individual apartments, versatile shared areas, and the use of natural elements within its construction. Known as Cloud House, it offers six loft-style units and two standard studios. Within each loft unit, an elevated platform is strategically placed above the entrance and bathroom zones, maximizing the 3.5-meter ceiling space. The design employs a subtle and consistent color scheme and material selection throughout. Intelligently designed multipurpose furniture like benches, wardrobes, and storage cabinets are thoughtfully combined with structural elements.

Beyond that, there are shared facilities like a lounge on the mezzanine level and a rooftop terrace. These areas encourage a sense of camaraderie among the inhabitants. Furthermore, the ground floor and an inner courtyard are allocated for parking bicycles and motorbikes. A central spiral staircase, acting as the primary circulation route, also encourages interaction between building residents by providing ample opportunities for encounter.
