Now, something exciting is happening – a new vocation is being introduced to the game for the first time since 1997! Let’s delve into the details about the Monk and see what this new addition brings to our beloved world of Tibia.

A Fifth Vocation Added After Almost 30 Years

CipSoft, creators of the widely-played free MMORPG, have dropped a brief sneak peek hinting at a fresh character class, which they refer to as a “vocation” in the game.

Since 1997, players have had the option to pick among four professions: Druid, Knight, Sorcerer, and Paladin. Now, after nearly 30 years, the Monk will become the fifth class in the game. While Knights and Paladins excel in physical combat and Sorcerers and Druids specialize in magic, Monks offer a unique blend of melee weapon fighting skills and magical abilities.

The game’s developers have described this new concept on Tibia‘s news blog:

The Monk will be a melee fighter capable of supporting and healing allies while using martial arts and mystical abilities to defeat enemies. The great truth seeker will have some very special features, such as harmony, virtues or serene. – CipSoft

CipSoft emphasizes that they made a concerted effort to incorporate the new profession seamlessly, offering exclusive skills like spells and weapons, all while preserving the worth of the existing classes.
