Clash Royale Balance Changes (January 2025): All Buffs, Nerfs & Reworks

2025 sees Clash Royale introducing a fresh wave of significant adjustments to its balance, promising an exciting shift in the Arena landscape. These alterations range from toning down overpowered Card Evolutions to subtle enhancements for underperforming cards, affecting almost every facet of the current meta.

The adjustments in balance were implemented on January 8th, following a short period of game maintenance. This announcement coincides with the start of Season 67 and the introduction of a fresh card, the Rune Giant.

All January Balance Changes in Clash Royale, Listed

This month’s adjustments feature multiple enhancements, reductions, and one major overhaul. A summary of each modification can be found below.

Cannon Evolution
  • Barrage damage increased from 320 → 353
Dagger Duchess
  • Projectile speed increased from 600 → 1,000
Dark Prince
  • Charge range decreased from 3.5 tiles → 3 tiles
Electro Giant
  • Added Sight Clipping (this means they will now behave more consistently and attack nearby buildings instead of far away ones)
Goblin Demolisher
  • Lifetime after 50% HP increased from 7 seconds → 8 seconds
Goblin Machine
  • Damage increased from 135 → 212
  • Damage per second increased from 150 → 176
  • Hit speed increased from 0.9 seconds → 1.2 seconds
Mighty Miner
  • Damage increase time decreased from 2.25 seconds → 2 seconds
Mini P.E.K.K.A
  • Damage increased from 720 → 754
Wall Breakers Evolution
  • Death damage to troops and buildings increased from 195 → 292
Witch
  • Attack splash radius increased from 1 tile → 1.5 tiles

  • Extra chain damage decreased from 192 → 128
Fisherman
  • Slow duration from Anchor decreased from 2.5 seconds → 1.5 seconds
Goblinstein
  • Doctor HP decreased from 885 → 721
Goblin Barrel Evolution
  • An additional visual indicator has been added onto the Decoy Barrel
Ice Spirit Evolution
  • Ice blasts counts decreased from 3 times → 2 times
  • Ice blast damage increased from 110 → 163
P.E.K.K.A Evolution
  • Healing value for destroying small troops (less than 990 max HP) decreased from 282 → 142
  • Healing value for destroying medium troops (between 991 and 1,989 max HP) stays the same
  • Healing value for destroying large troops (more than 1,990 max HP) increased from 282 → 565
Royal Recruits Evolution
  • Charge range increased from 1.5 tiles → 2 tiles
  • Charge damage decreased from 273 → 266
Ram Rider
  • HP decreased from 1,767 → 1,696
Skeletons Evolution
  • Skeletons on deploy decreased from 4 → 3
Spear Goblins
  • First hit speed increased from 3 seconds → 4 seconds

Reworks
