Clash of Clans Will Remove Troop Training – Here’s Why It’s a Game-Changer

The confirmation is out: Supercell has announced that with the arrival of the upcoming major update, the troop training system will no longer exist within the game ‘Clash of Clans‘ entirely.

From now on, you won’t have to spend time waiting for troops, spells, or siege machines to train – they’ll be ready immediately once the update is applied. This change also applies to heroes, meaning that their recovery time and lives will no longer be a concern post-update. As of yet, there’s no confirmed release date for this upgrade.

It’s not unexpected, considering Supercell eliminated Troop Training costs some time back. This change seems to be a logical progression from that previous update. However, it’s crucial to note that these modifications will impact other aspects within the game of Clash of Clans, which are significant and worth paying attention to.

Matchmaking Issues Will Be Resolved With Snapshot Bases

Once the Training Times are eliminated, you’ll notice an increase in player activity and a higher frequency of attacks taking place. To alleviate extended wait times while searching for adversary bases, Supercell plans to introduce a new server technology named “‘Match Anytime’“.

In this game setup, if you exhaust all viable targets for an attack, you’ll be given the option to assault a temporary base known as a “snapshot base.” This is essentially someone else’s base that’s currently protected by a Shield. You can still raid it, gather loot, and win Trophies, but the owner won’t lose any of their resources or Trophies during the process. The “Match Anytime” feature works in a manner similar to the mechanism we observe in Clan Wars.

Trophy Curves Adjusted to Prevent Inflation

As a gamer, I’ll share an update that might affect your gaming experience: Supercell is tweaking the Trophy system to keep it balanced and exciting. The main adjustment will involve limiting the number of Trophies you can earn from winning battles, particularly those with just 1-Star victories. This way, earning Trophies feels more fair and rewarding for everyone!

Essentially, it aims to motivate players to thoughtfully assess each base, allowing them to maximize their rewards in terms of loot and trophy count from their fights.

Legend League Stays Limited—For Now

After this update, it was observed that a majority of Legend League players don’t finish their full 8 daily attacks. Consequently, each player will still be confined to making only 8 attacks per day. This means they won’t enjoy the advantage of unlimited attacks that other players may have.

However, that may change as the developers stated they intend to fix this in a future update.

What Will Happen to Training Items and Donations?

In Clash of Clans, since there are no more training time constraints, they’ll take away Training Potions and Training Treats. The Training Perk that comes with the Gold Pass will instead provide a reduction in the Donation Request Timer.

This discussion brings us to the subject of In-game Donations. While these donations will continue to exist, they come at a cost – either Elixir or Dark Elixir, depending on whether you’re donating Troops or Spells. Keep in mind that this means you won’t be able to donate an infinite number of Troops. The specific amounts required for each instance have yet to be disclosed.

Additionally, the waiting period for Clan Castle Requests is adjusted to 10 minutes. However, you can shorten this duration using the mentioned Donation Request Timer Reduction bonus.
