As a gamer, I eagerly look forward to the weekly gaming marathon known as Raid Weekends. These events kick off every Friday and wind down on Monday. The aim is clear: seize control of as many districts and enemy Clan Capitals as I can during this time. The rewards are substantial – piles of Capital Gold and Raid Medals that I can accumulate with each successful conquest. It’s an exhilarating challenge!
As an enthusiastic participant, I kick things off by ensuring that my clan is signed up for the exciting Raid Weekend events. Once we’re in, each member of our clan will have the opportunity to strike at the enemy clan’s Capital during our matches. Unlike traditional clan wars, in Raid Weekends, clans don’t directly face off against each other. Instead, we take turns attacking different clans each time.
Striking a balance between offensively engaging opponents and defending against their assaults is crucial for success. To enhance your skills in both areas, we provide guidance on strategic attack planning and suggestions for optimizing your base design to withstand enemy raids.
How to Attack in Raid Weekends
During an entire Raid Weekend, you have the opportunity to launch attacks five times. If you manage to three-star a District, you’ll earn an extra attack, but only one time. Every player can utilize the Troops and Spells that your Clan has made available in the Clan Capital. The strength of these Troops and Spells is determined by how much your Clan has improved them.
In a District, the damage you inflict is permanent, meaning it carries over to subsequent allied attacks. This way, your fellow Clan members can continue destroying a District if you couldn’t finish the job. Also, enemy traps won’t re-arm between attacks. Moreover, any spells you cast will stay active in the district you attacked until the next assault. During Raid Weekends, there are no spell or troop brewing/training times and costs.
To launch an assault on an adversary’s Clan Capital, you must first march through all the other districts, completely demolishing each one, until eventually, you reach and can attack the Capital Peak.
Demolishing Structures will grant you ‘Capital Gold’. After completely destroying a district, extra ‘Capital Gold’ will be awarded based on the total Housing Space occupied by any remaining troops.
Knocking down buildings gives you Capital Gold. If there are still soldiers left after destroying a district, additional Capital Gold is earned according to the space those soldiers occupy in housing.
If your Guild successfully annihilates every single district and the main city, Peak Capital, an automatic pairing with another Guild will occur. The matching process takes into account the level of buildings within the Capital. At the close of Raid Weekend, every participant will receive Raid Medals proportionate to the number of destroyed districts and the effectiveness of their own district’s defense against enemy assaults.
During a Raid Weekend, if you choose to attack while being part of a clan and then decide to switch to a new clan, you won’t have the opportunity to attack again until the following Raid Weekend.
How to Defend in Raid Weekends
During Raid Weekends, safeguarding your district is straightforward. But, it’s important to note that only the Clan Leader and their Co-Leaders have the authority to adjust the arrangement of buildings and defenses within the Clan’s districts. This can be accomplished using the ‘Layout Editor‘ tool.
Remember that any modifications you make to your District’s design during a Raid Weekend will not take effect until your Clan competes against another Clan. If you wish to evaluate the strength of your District layout, consider organizing ‘Friendly Challenges’ and encourage fellow Clan members to assault it for testing purposes.
In your districts, you have the option to fortify them with several types of Clan Capital Defenses. Here is a comprehensive list of them for your reference:
