If accurate, it supports the statement made by Reddit user DocJamieJay that the upcoming movie shares a similar style or spirit with the 1983 film “Blue Thunder,” helmed by director John Badham.

The original post states: “My sister’s father-in-law works at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn, and there has been buzz among NYPD Aviation Unit personnel that Christopher Nolan and some members of his film crew will be arriving in November for approximately a month prior to the start of production on his next movie. Matt Damon is expected to join the project early next year. The rumor is that this movie will be a New York-set futuristic action movie about a helicopter pilot cop who leads the Aviation Unit in the U.S., and the development of a highly advanced yet perilous helicopter, which is being sought by terrorists.
