Chris Hemsworth Starts Filming Avengers: Doomsday

Chris Hemsworth has begun filming scenes for Avengers: Doomsday.

Since 2011, I’ve had the incredible privilege of embodying the mighty Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Most recently, he graced our screens in Thor: Love and Thunder (with a brief cameo in 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine through archival footage).

Actor Chris Hemsworth will once again take on his character’s role for Avengers: Doomsday, a movie currently being filmed. Stunt performer Bobby Holland Hanton recently posted on Instagram that Hemsworth has started filming his parts on the Avengers: Doomsday set.

Additionally, Hemsworth posted a backstage exercise video on Instagram, accompanied by the comment, “Here’s a quick Avengers workout, ready to fire up.

At the moment, it’s uncertain just how prominent Chris Hemsworth will be in Avengers: Doomsday, since specifics about the plot are being tightly guarded. As of now, it hasn’t been verified whether he’ll also appear in Avengers: Secret Wars, which is set to release in 2027.

On May 1, 2026, “Avengers: Doomsday” is set to hit cinemas across the USA, courtesy of Marvel Studios. Subsequently, “Avengers: Secret Wars” will be released on May 7, 2027.
