In a chat with MTV’s Josh Horowitz, Chris Evans expressed his eagerness to perform together on stage with Sebastian Stan. Horowitz pointed out that Stan had been persistently urging Evans about this matter. During an interview on the Happy, Sad & Confused podcast in 2024, Stan playfully requested fans to catch Evans’ attention and persuade him to act in a play with Stan by utilizing their abilities as best they could.
Nevertheless, Evans expressed his reservations regarding Stan’s genuine intentions. He observed that whenever he suggested collaborating on a play, Stan always responded by mentioning that he was “slightly occupied.
Evans said something like, ‘Seb, please don’t keep referring to me in interviews. I want to join you on stage instead,’ he continued. Later, Evans recognized Stan’s Academy Award nomination and the numerous projects he was working on at that time.
Evans expressed his enjoyment of collaborating with Stan, highlighting how theatre is a significant devotion since you’re with the individual throughout the entire day, every day. He further mentioned that he’d be more than happy to continue doing so, using a humorous phrase: “I’d give anything for it.
In summary, both Evans and Stan have a background in theater. Specifically, Evans made his Broadway debut in “Lobby Hero” back in 2018, while Stan has graced the Broadway stage in productions such as “Picnic” in 2013 and “Talk Radio” all the way back in 2007.
Previously this year, during an interview with Vanity Fair, Evans commended Stan on his film choices outside of Marvel. He admired Stan’s courage and referred to him as “fearless.
In a recent interview, the actor from ‘The Materialists’ commented, “He goes for bold choices. When the idea of that movie about Trump was circulating, I recall wondering who would step up for this role. It seemed like such a complex project with so many conditions attached to it. And honestly, I wasn’t surprised when I found out it was Sebastian.
