Are you excited for a tasty treat? In celebration of Pac-Man’s 45th anniversary, Krispy Kreme is elevating its menu and the results are as sweet as achieving a top score. Collaborating with Bandai Namco, the popular donut chain has unveiled a limited-time assortment that embodies the arcade classic.

Regardless if you’re passionate about vintage games or simply drawn by the sweet appeal, this collaboration offers an irresistible chance to commemorate the iconic character that has been chasing ghosts (possibly soon, donuts) since 1980.

A Sweet Tribute to an Arcade Icon

The donut line was introduced on May 12, 2025, and will only be accessible until June 1, 2025. So, if you want to get them, you’d better hurry because the offer is time-bound and stock might run out. If visiting a store isn’t feasible for you, a six-pack box of these donuts is also up for grabs at Walmart, Kroger, Publix, and other major retailers across the U.S.

However, just hold on a moment before you dash to your local Krispy Kreme! There’s a condition: these treats are only available in certain U.S. and Japanese Krispy Kreme outlets. I’m afraid this delight won’t be crossing the Atlantic for our friends in Europe this time.

What’s Available?

The selection features three unique donuts, all designed with references to Pac-Man’s cherished figures and power-ups.

  • PAC-MAN Party Doughnut: A cheerful original glazed doughnut with buttercream icing and vibrant sprinkles – a true party in your mouth.
  • Strawberry Power Berry Doughnut: A tart, strawberry cream-filled shell doughnut with strawberry icing, cream details, and colorful sugar sprinkles.
  • Team Ghost Doughnut: An unglazed shell filled with rich chocolate cream, topped with vanilla custard illustrations of the classic ghosts.

Each donut can be bought either individually, or as sets of three or six. Additionally, these donuts come in exclusive boxes adorned with artwork inspired by Pac-Man.

As a gamer, I’d say: Every six-pack you grab comes with a cool sticker! And It’s like finding an extra power-up in your gaming world.

Cool Gimmicks: From “Pac-Dots” to Price Deals

From May 12th through May 14th, I’m thrilled that Krispy Kreme is transforming their mini donut holes into Pac-Dots, a clever wink at the game’s famous pellets. Purchase a dozen of these delicious treats, and you’ll score an extra 10 free Pac-Dots to enjoy alongside them!

  • Between May 12 and May 18, Krispy Kreme is giving away a whopping 45,000 free donuts during special time slots (7–9 a.m. and 5–7 p.m., or whenever your local shop turns on the iconic “Hot Light”).
    If customers help “chomp” through the 45,000 goal, the fan-favorite Strawberry Glazed Donut, which was previously retired, will make a triumphant return to stores.
  • On May 22, Pac-Man’s actual birthday, donuts will be sold for just 25 cents apiece – yes, you read that right. If you miss the giveaway window, you can still grab the donuts at regular price in-store, online, or via the Krispy Kreme app.
And for japanese fans of food and flair, Tokyo’s Shibuya Cine Tower Krispy Kreme location has been transformed with unique Pac-Man-themed décor – turning donut runs into full-blown photo ops.
