Actor Chiyaan Vikram is ready to dive into the production of his upcoming movie, temporarily named Chiyaan64. Directed by Prem Kumar, who gained recognition through the film “96,” the project was officially announced with a recent update on its filming schedule.
Chiyaan64 to begin shooting soon?
As per Cinema Vikatan’s report, the upcoming movie starring Chiyaan Vikram is expected to be a raw and intense action-thriller, which will mark the directorial debut of Prem Kumar. The film promises to showcase Vikram in a merciless role, with shooting scheduled to start sometime between August and September 2025.
Without further details on the specifics of its filming, it’s been reported that the script for this project—written by the talented director Meiyazhagan—has left both Vikram and the producer with a sense of wonder.
It appears that the casting process for Chiyaan64 is ongoing, while there are indications that a collaboration between Chiyaan63 and director Madonne Ashwin (of Maaveeran fame) is still on the table. Prior to this, Vikram is expected to complete his work on the Prem Kumar project before proceeding with the other yet-to-be-named project.

Actor Chiyaan Vikram recently starred as the main character in the neo-noir action film called Veera Dheera Sooran: Part – 2. In this movie, directed by SU Arun Kumar, we follow the story of Kaali, a former enforcer who once again works for his old boss to help him overpower a police officer during one particular night.
Nevertheless, events take a grim shift when Kaali finds himself faced with the dilemma of either fulfilling his past obligations or prioritizing his own family. In this movie, Vikram plays the protagonist, with SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Dushara Vijayan among others occupying significant roles. This film can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
