Through their social media account, Vels Film International officially confirmed the participation of Chiyaan64 in the project.

Previously, Director Prem Kumar has created movies such as 96 and Meiyazhagan in Tamil. These films stand out due to their heartwarming and romantic aspects, earning them widespread critical praise.
It appears that the director intends to explore a new path for the upcoming Chiyaan Vikram film. Although an official statement has been released, specifics regarding the cast remain undisclosed at this point.
Prem Kumar on negative reviews
Recently, film director Prem Kumar drew attention following his critique of the increasing number of unfavorable criticisms in Tamil cinema. During a speech at the Indian Screenwriters Conference, he expressed concern, stating: “The negative reviews in Tamil cinema are escalating into a major issue for us. This problem is significant and it’s growing larger with each passing day.
Originally, we had colleagues who provided reviews, but nowadays, it seems to me that those who take on this role are not traditional reviewers. They have their own objectives, which I would describe as unrefined. The language they employ is often harsh, their perspective is consistently negative, and they focus on undermining the initial week’s earnings, he further stated.
It’s intriguing to note that Prem Kumar has announced plans for a follow-up to the film starring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan, tentatively named “96 Part 2”. In this upcoming movie, the two actors are expected to reprise their lead roles.
Chiyaan Vikram’s last film
Actor Chiyaan Vikram recently appeared in the main part of the action-thriller sequel titled Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2. Directed by SU Arun Kumar, this movie also starred SJ Suryah and Suraj Venjaramoodu as key characters. Upon its release, it garnered positive reviews from critics.
