Originally intended for a brief mission, they had to extend their stay due to difficulties with the propulsion system of their spacecraft. Upon their arrival, actors Chiranjeevi and R Madhavan expressed warm messages on social media, welcoming them back home.
Chiranjeevi, using his social media account, warmly greeted Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore upon their return to our planet. He described their journey as both significant and courageous. He also pointed out that their initial eight-day mission was extended to a remarkable 286 days, during which they completed an impressive 4,577 orbits around Earth.

He mentioned that their prayers had been answered after days filled with uncertainty in space, describing it as divine grace and the outcome of countless prayers from people around the world.
In his own terms, “It’s as if our prayers have been granted… It’s such a joy to see you well and happy. This, after over 260 days filled with uncertainty in space, can only be seen as divine grace and the answers to countless prayers offered by millions.
