As a devoted fan of Chinese wuxia dramas, I have been eagerly awaiting each new episode of Dashing Youth. The latest installment, episode ten, did not disappoint! Neo Hou and He Yu continue to deliver captivating performances as Baili Dongjun and Ye Deng Zhi, respectively.

Based on the trailer, this series follows Baili Dongjun (played by Neo Hou) as he strives to become an accomplished martial artist. The tenth episode centers around Dongjun’s efforts to pass the initial test.

In this episode, Yin Luoxi makes a bold entrance at the Qianjin house, proposing a gambling game. Her flamboyant arrival grabs everyone’s attention, yet her attempts to display her skills seem unwelcome. Mr. Liuyue contemplates calling for Ruofeng, an accomplished player from the academy, but Tu Zao intervenes. Meanwhile, the Vice Manager of Qianjin House, Tu Wan, is intoxicated and reluctantly carried back against his will.

When Luoxi proposes a game to Tu Wan, he initially declines. However, once he’s captivated by her beauty, he stands up to greet her. During the game, Luoxi catches sight of Dongjun and Ye Deng Zhi in the corner. She extends an invitation for them to join. Liuyue stipulates that if they emerge victorious, they’ll have cleared the preliminary hurdle. But should they lose, they’ll be required to share some of their liquor and meat with Tu Wan.

At the Qianjin House, Luoxi’s skills leave everyone in awe. She’s capable of creating the elusive Supreme Duo deck, an extremely rare and legendary set used for gambling that can outmatch any opponent. However, Tu Zao strongly suspects she’s cheated because producing Supreme Duo isn’t allowed when playing against Tu Wan. Yet, he can’t make an accusation since he wasn’t present to witness the event firsthand. Liuyue praises Luoxi, acknowledging that no one has ever successfully manipulated the rules at Qianjin House, and she passed the initial evaluation.

Later in the show, a new character named Zhuge Yun appears. He has the ability to create a magical formation that makes people lose track of their surroundings. Impressed by his skills, Liuyue recognizes his talent and allows him to pass the exam after just one try. Another contestant demonstrates the art of face-changing and also advances in the competition.

Did Neo Hou pass the preliminary examination?

Approximately 12 hours later, Dongjun finishes meticulously crafting his liquor. The judges are deeply impressed by Dongjun’s masterful wine-making abilities when they try it. For Tu Zao, the taste brings back poignant memories of his mother.

Deng Zhi’s cooked lamb is met with equal approval from the judges. As Dongjun savors a bite, he is transported back to his childhood, remembering a friend who prepared food in the same manner. In the end, both Dengzhi and Dongjun clear the initial hurdle of the examination.

As I delve deeper into this intriguing episode, I find myself making my way to the hidden corner of the Diaoulou Tavern, where I’m due to meet with the enigmatic Prince Qing under the veil of secrecy. We clink mugs in a toast to our covert alliance. The prince makes an enticing proposition: he promises to grant me any wish if only I help him accomplish his goal. I prefer to keep my requests tucked away until we’ve completed this task together. To my surprise, the prince agrees to honor our deal before it’s even been fully sealed.

What happens in Dashing Youth episode 10’s ending?

when Dengzhi thinks back, he recalls the time when his father, General Ye Yu, was wrongly labeled as a traitor. He was believed to be haughty and allied with the adversaries. Worse still, phony proof was discovered in his household. Consequently, his entire family, including relatives, were brutally taken from us. The order for their execution was handed down by Prince Qing. Driven by a desire for vengeance and to uncover why the prince assumed Dengzhi would request the imperial jade seal, he reflects on these events.
