Chhaava: Vicky Kaushal’s historical action film set for Telugu release on THIS date after Hindi box office success

The Hindi historical action movie “Chhaava” has been making waves at the box office due to its huge popularity. Starring Vicky Kaushal and telling the true story of Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s valor, there has been a high demand for a Telugu version. At last, the producers have set a date for its release in Telugu.

On social media platforms, it was officially disclosed by the production team that there would be updates regarding the film. Through their Instagram account (Maddock Films), they made public their collaboration with Thandel producer Bunny Vas under the Geetha Arts banner for the Telugu-dubbed version of Chhaava.

For those unfamiliar, since the premiere of Chhaava and its impressive reception, Telugu viewers have been anxiously waiting for a dubbed version to be released in the southern region.

In addition to Vicky Kaushal playing the main character, the film stars Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale, Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, the Mughal ruler, with a supporting cast that includes Diana Penty, Neil Bhoopalam, Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, Alok Nath, and numerous others.

There have been whispers that the lead role in Chhaava was originally given to the renowned actor Mahesh Babu from Telugu cinema, prior to Vicky Kaushal. It’s been guessed that the actor known as Guntur Kaaram passed on the offer without revealing his reasons.

In a promotional interview, it was made clear by director Laxman Utekar that Vicky Kaushal had been intended to play the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj since the project’s conception.
