Chet & Tom Hanks Parody Forrest Gump in New Music Video

Tom Hanks just starred alongside his son, Chett, in the humorously imitated version of Chett’s recent music video, that mimics Tom’s classic 1994 movie “Forest Gump”.

What happens in the Forrest Gump parody video?

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m excitedly sharing that the latest music video hails from the duo Something Out West, made up of Hanks and Drew Arthur, for their track “You Better Run.” In this creative piece, they’ve cleverly parodied iconic moments from Forrest Gump, with my character, Chet, mimicking the title character. You’ll see me donning a Forrest-like outfit to share chocolates on park benches, reenacting running sequences across diverse landscapes, and more – it’s a must-watch!

Towards the end of the video, you’ll see Tom Hanks sitting on a bench with his son. Although Hanks doesn’t resemble Forrest Gump, he gives Chet, who is still performing, a puzzled look.

Since 2016, both Chet Hanks and Drew Arthur have been involved in music, debuting under the name FTRZ. In 2020, they started going by Something Out West and have put out several songs since then.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve been keeping an eye on Chet Hanks’ journey. He’s not just a gamer like me; he’s also diving into the world of acting. Back in 2018 and 2019, I saw him shining on Empire in a recurring role. Now, he’s taking center stage in the Netflix basketball comedy series, Running Point. This hilarious show dropped last month on the streaming platform, and I can’t wait to catch more of his performances!
