It weaves together real-life events using animation and archival chaos, with a backdrop of a classic road trip comedy. The movie delves into the lasting impact of the groundbreaking comedians Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong, featuring interviews, skits, and previously unseen footage from their five-decade journey in show business. The end product is an unexpected narrative of friendship and fame, struggle and resistance, rebellion, and ultimately, redemption.

On the film production team, along with Robbi Chong, Bushell plays the role of producer. Meanwhile, John Paul DeJoria, Gary Hasseley, Cleo Segura Sherrel, and Christian Selleron are acting as executive producers.

Cheech and Chong gained popularity in the ’70s and ’80s, mainly due to their comedic stage performances. They’ve starred in over 20 films as a duo, with their first cinematic appearance being in the 1978 film “Up in Smoke.

On the fitting date of April 20, 2025, Cheech & Chong’s Last Movie will have a limited premiere, followed by a wider release across the country on April 25, 2025. This special event kicks off with Keep Smokin’.
