Charles Manson’s Kids: What Happened to His Children & Where Are They Now?

As a fan of true crime history, I have always been fascinated by the stories behind notorious criminals and their backgrounds. Charles Manson, one of the most infamous serial killers in US history, is no exception. His crimes, which came to light in December 1969, left an indelible mark on American society and continue to intrigue people to this day.

Charles Manson is infamously known for being one of the most heinous serial killers in American history. In December 1969, his shocking crimes came to light when authorities arrested him and his followers for the gruesome murders of actress Sharon Tate and her companions. The court ultimately found Manson and his group accountable and sentenced them to death. However, California abolished the death penalty in 1972, resulting in their sentences being modified to life imprisonment instead. Since then, there has been widespread fascination with Manson’s personal history and whether he had any children.

Charles Manson is known to have been married twice and had two sons with each wife. His first marriage was to Rosalie Jean Willis in 1955, and they welcomed their son, Charles Manson Jr., the following year. However, Manson was in prison during his son’s birth, and the couple divorced two years later. In 1959, he married Leona Ray “Candy” Stevens, and they had a son named Charles Luther Manson. It has also been reported that Manson fathered another child outside of these marriages.

An article from Men’s Health revealed that Charles Manson welcomed his third son, named Valentine Michael Manson, into the world with the help of one of his followers, Mary Brunner.

Where are Charles Manson’s Kids now?

As a fanatic follower of the news, I’ve come across an intriguing piece in Newsweek that sheds light on the lives of Charles Manson’s family members after him. His first wife, Rosalie Jean Willis, remarried, and his son, who was initially known as Charles Manson Jr., decided to change his name. The media reported that he grappled with his connection to the notorious serial killer and tragically took his own life in 1993. According to the death certificate, his demise was due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Regrettably, information about Charles Manson’s second child, Charles Luther Manson, remains scant. As per International Business Times, Luther Manson opted to change his name to Jay Charles Warner.

Valorie Manson, the sole offspring of Valentine Michael Manson, has publicly discussed his relationship with his father and himself. In an exclusive conversation with the Los Angeles Times, Valorie asserted that his dad wasn’t responsible for the murder of Sharon Tate and her companions. He expressed his doubts, stating, “I don’t think he did it. I believe that it was fabricated afterward. The ‘Helter Skelter’ theory, when you scrutinize it closely, seems rather illogical.” During this exchange, Valorie shared that he had received a postcard from Manson and intended to respond. Unfortunately, the opportunity had already passed by.

Charles Manson died in a hospital in Kern County. He was 83.
