Chaotic World of Tanks players dominate in working tank simulator

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the sheer audacity and ingenuity displayed by these World of Tanks players has left me utterly spellbound. Having spent countless hours hunched over keyboards and controllers, it’s refreshing to see a duo who took their passion for the game to new heights – quite literally!

Have you ever wanted to play World of Tanks inside a full-scale tank? Well, two talented players have done just that, creating a full tank simulator just to play the free multiplayer video game.

World of Tanks in a tank

On Twitter, a pair of devoted World of Tanks enthusiasts showcased their creation – a comprehensive simulator designed for the multiplayer game. Unlike the traditional methods of using a keyboard, mouse, or controller, these players built an interactive tank cockpit to navigate the game instead.

In the video, Chinese gamer Blyat and his companion join forces within a simulated tank, charging ahead to destroy opposing troops. Once they’ve settled inside the modeled vehicle, one player manages the steering duties, whereas the other adjusts the gun’s direction through an operational periscope.

To fire missiles, one user shoves full soda bottles into a working mechanism. After firing in game, the mechanism shoots out the bottle as if it was an actual missile shell. There’s even a missile shelf filled with bottles to keep the fight going.

Through the use of smoke generators and special effects, the simulated tank appears to tremble and convulse, mimicking a battlefield scenario. Not just chaotic, it’s impressively skillful technology at work.

Although numerous gamers construct flight and car simulator cockpits for games such as Microsoft Flight Simulator or Asseto Corsa, there aren’t many tank simulators available. Some gaming enthusiasts even design complete train simulation setups for games like Train Sim World, but the World of Tanks setup is quite exceptional.

An ideal way to play?

Although it’s certainly entertaining, operating a full-sized tank simulator may not be the most practical way to enjoy World of Tanks. Instead, using a keyboard for quicker controls and more efficient firing is more convenient. Furthermore, setting up this simulation often necessitates the collaboration of several individuals.

However, no World of Tanks player will ever be as cool as this. It’s like Steel Battalion on steroids, and it’s one of the coolest video game setups we’ve ever seen.

World of Tanks is available to play for free on PC, console and mobile.
