Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc Trailer Previews Denji’s Action-Packed Return

A fresh trailer for the upcoming movie adaptation titled “Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc” from the widely-loved anime series has dropped. The film is slated to hit Japanese theaters on September 19, 2025. As of now, there’s no scheduled U.S. release date.

What is Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc about?

Originally Denji was just an ordinary boy, but after acquiring a devil’s heart, he transformed into Chainsaw Man. Now, he is a member of the Special Division 4, a group dedicated to hunting devils. One day, following a romantic encounter with Makima, his ideal woman, Denji seeks refuge from the rain. It is during this time that he encounters Reze, a girl who works at a café.

Titled “Chainsaw Man: The Movie – Reze Arc,” this upcoming film is helmed by director Tatsuya Yoshihara, who’s known for directing two episodes from Season 1. The script was penned by Hiroshi Seko, inspired by the popular manga series of the same name created by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The cast includes Kikunosuke Toya portraying Denji, Reina Ueda as Reze, Fairouz Ai as Power, Tomori Kusunoki as Makina, Shogo Sakata as Aki, Shiori Izawa as Pochita, Karin Takahashi as Kobeni Higashiyama, Natsuki Hanee as Beam, Maaya Uchida as Angel Devil, and a host of other talented voice actors.

In this series, we follow the life of Denji, a teenage boy who lives with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to his father’s debt, he has been struggling to get by and repays it by collecting devil corpses with the help of Pochita. One unfortunate day, Denji is betrayed and meets his untimely demise. As his life slips away, he seals a pact with Pochita, coming back to life as “Chainsaw Man” – a human possessing the heart of a devil.
