CD Projekt Red is collaborating with Scopely for a new game

Recently, Scopely grabbed attention with its acquisition of various properties from Niantic Labs, including Pokemon Go. This fast-expanding mobile gaming company shows no signs of slowing down, as it has entered into an agreement to develop a game based on an intellectual property (IP) owned by CD Projekt Red.

During their most recent financial conference call, it was revealed that CD Projekt Red is partnering with Scopely. While specifics haven’t been disclosed yet, what we do know is that the game will stem from a project owned by CD Projekt Red – possibly The Witcher or Cyberpunk-related content.

Scopely has taken well-known franchises like Monopoly Go (a hugely successful mobile game) under its wing, among others. Just recently, this Saudi-supported company purchased Pokemon Go, Monster Hunter Now, and Pikmin Bloom from Niantic for a whopping $3.5 billion.

Regarding CD Projekt Red, it’s common knowledge that they are developing The Witcher 4 and a follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077. Meanwhile, as we eagerly anticipate news about Scopely’s mobile version, keep checking back here on Shacknews for updates.
