On January 14, 2025, the announcement for Rajinikanth‘s upcoming film titled Jailer 2 will be made, aligning with Pongal festivities. With just a few hours to go before its official premiere, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has already finished the censoring process.
According to the official report, the movie will feature two trailers that will be revealed shortly. The first trailer spans 2 minutes and 23 seconds, while the second one is slightly longer at 4 minutes and 3 seconds. Both trailers have been rated as suitable for viewers aged 16 and up (UA 16+).
With the official launch of Jailer 2 just around the corner, it’s clear that Superstar fans everywhere are in for an exciting time! Previously, we even spotted musician Anirudh Ravichander and director Nelson Dilipkumar jetting off, which suggests that a promotional launch is imminent.
There’s been a lot of excitement about the upcoming movie, Jailer 2, for quite a while now. This highly anticipated sequel to the 2023 hit Jailer is expected to carry on the tale of “Tiger” Muthuvel Pandian.
The initial movie within this series tells the story of a retired prison guard living peacefully with his police officer son, daughter-in-law, and grandchild. Yet, the peaceful life of the ex-warden is disrupted when his son vanishes and is believed to have perished.
Overwhelmed by remorse, the man embarks on a quest for vengeance, aiming to eliminate those suspected in the demise of his beloved son. Along this path, he encounters an unusual antiquities dealer, shaping the course of subsequent events and forming the foundation of the tale.
Featuring Rajinikanth as the main character, this film boasted a talented group of supporting actors such as Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vasanth Ravi, Mirnaa Menon, Yogi Babu, Sunil, and numerous others in significant roles. Moreover, notable cameos were made by Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jackie Shroff in the movie.
