As a passionate gamer and supporter of the arts, I’m dismayed to share that SAG-AFTRA, the union representing video game voice actors and capture artists, has decided to go on strike. The reason behind this action is their concern over the alleged misuse of AI in video game development.

Amazon’s upcoming publication in the MMO genre is called “Throne and Liberty,” developed by NCSOFT. Initially part of the Lineage series, it debuted in South Korea towards the end of last year and plans for a global release in September 2024. Two standout features of Throne and Liberty are its stunning graphics and a unique shapeshifting mechanism designed to make exploring an MMO world more engaging.

This grassroots movement is not only self-driven but also receives valuable support from the Communications Workers of America (CWA) union group. The CWA has recognized our team’s efforts and pledged their assistance in this endeavor, further strengthening their commitment to promoting unions within the gaming industry.
