As a die-hard fan of the original Castlevania series, I am beyond thrilled to see Netflix unveil the trailer for Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2! With my memories filled with countless hours spent vanquishing vampires and battling Dracula, this spin-off promises to keep the spirit of the franchise alive. The return of Alucard, joined by Trevor Belmont, Sypha’s descendant Richter, and a new band of vampire hunters, is music to my ears.
Netflix recently unveiled a trailer for Season 2 of “Castlevania: Nocturne”, their captivating dark fantasy animated series. This upcoming season is a spin-off from the original show with the same title and will commence streaming on January 16, 2025.

The video showcases the comeback of beloved character Alucard, who reunites with his former companions Trevor Belmont and Richter Belmont, a relative of Sypha. The trailer additionally offers glimpses into the thrilling action scenes anticipated in Season 2. In an interview with Tudum, showrunner Kevin Kolde hinted that fans should be prepared for “an epic Castlevania battle scene like no other.
With the iconic Alucard now by his side, Richter Belmont and their team of vampire slayers are in a frantic struggle against the clock, as Erzsebet Báthory – the self-proclaimed Vampire Messiah – aims to harness the immense power of the goddess Sekhmet. If successful, she intends to cast the world into an unending abyss of darkness and fear.
“Castlevania: Nocturne” is a show that Clive Bradley and Kevin Kolde have developed and overseen, inspired by the 1993 Castlevania: Rondo of Blood video game from Konami. The series stars Edward Bluemel as Richter, Pixie Davies as Maria Renard, Thuso Mbedu as Annette, Natassja Kinski as Tera, Sydney James Harcourt as Edouard, Zahn McClarnon as Olrox, and Franka Potente as Erzsebet Báthory. This spin-off is produced by Powerhouse Animation, with Sam Deats and Adam Deats in charge of directing.
