CASETiFY has consistently focused on infusing color and individuality into everyday necessities, ranging from tech accessories to luggage, transforming the mundane into something extraordinary. In celebration of Earth Day, the brand is pushing limits once more with its Re/CASETiFY project, demonstrating that sustainability and creativity can complement each other flawlessly.
This year, CASETiFY will unveil its inaugural 2024 Sustainability Report, highlighting their achievement of recycling over 2.1 million phone cases and preventing over 105,000 kg of plastic waste from ending up in landfills since 2021. Yet, the eco-friendly goals that CASETiFY aspires to are far from fully realized—this represents merely the start of the brand’s sustainable influence. By reinventing ways to handle tech accessory waste, CASETiFY demonstrates the imaginative potential that can stem from groundbreaking ideas such as upcycling and repurposing discarded materials.
To infuse vitality into this project, CASETiFY collaborated with modern innovators – creative minds reshaping the landscape, by injecting fresh energy into previously used resources.
Cody Hoyt, a designer renowned for his unique approach to bright colors and geometric designs based in New York City, went further than just phone cases with his creativity. He crafted a bench inspired by mosaics entirely from recycled CASETiFY cases, transforming what was previously considered waste into a lively, practical piece of furniture. His work underscores the belief that being eco-friendly doesn’t necessarily mean losing style; rather, it can elevate it.
Joining the team is Hong Kong’s reEDIT LAB, a renowned creative studio known for its innovative upcycling collaborations with well-known brands. For Re/CASETiFY, they created vibrant phone stands entirely from recycled materials, demonstrating that environmentally friendly design can be both useful and fun.
As a gamer, I’m thrilled to share that a bench designed by Cody Hoyt will be on display at the CASETiFY K11 Musea Store in Hong Kong. Additionally, a phone stand from reEDIT LAB is up for grabs as a freebie when you make a purchase at selected stores in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, and South Korea!
